Standing at the foot of Oiwasan Nisseki-ji temple.  The Inn of tranquility: “Dangoya”.

“Dangoya” is getting over the 100 year history since the Meiji era as the Inn for Buddhist monks who believed in the god of the mountain and they trained there.

You can feel the seasons in the traditional atmosphere.  That means being grateful for the blessings of the mountain.

We provide you the purification of your mind and tranquility.  The solemn time will take you away from your daily routine.

“Dangoya” has been a long-established Inn.  It has a history of more than 100 years.

Since its establishment in the middle of the Meiji era, we have been welcoming everyone of our guests with some spirit of hospitality.

I’m the 5th generation family to run the business in front of the gate of Oiwasan Nisseki-ji temple that is located on the foot of Tateyama mountain range.  “Dangoya” was established in the middle of the Meiji era and has the traditional wooden structure.  So we apologize for any inconvenience due to that.  The word “renovation” has crossed my mind many times.  However, there are many guests who love this traditional style.  Now, I sincerely feel that we must cherish what we have walked through in our long history.

I often hear the phrase, “Tradition is a series of innovations” and I got the phrase, “You should keep managing “Dangoya” style to be grateful for the natural blessing and show our confidence for “Dangoya” ” from the previous owners.  I believe that what was common in the past as an innovation from the modern point of view.  In other words, what we have been doing for many years is innovation.

I appreciate all the great staff.  I’m looking forward to welcoming you all with the merciful spirit of hospitality.
