We have welcomed guests to our inn for 125 years alongside the Tateyama Alps and Oiwasan Nisseki Temple.
I am the fifth generation owner of the inn.
The facility has remained unchanged, and people often say the atmosphere is similar to the old-style inns for travelers that appear in the period drama Mito Komon.
I have often considered rebuilding so that the inn could fit the atmosphere of today.
However, so many people love this 3-story wooden building, so I feel from the bottom of my heart that I have to protect it.
These days, I often hear the phrase, "Tradition is a succession of innovation."
Previous generations have said, "Live every day simply and with boldness, appreciating the grace of nature without harming it, and continue to pursue the traditional style of Inn Dangoya."
Now I think that the traditional style that was normal in the past is now innovative, and believe that true innovation is having kept it alive for such a long time.
I thank all our wonderful staff and welcome you with the spirit of "Daiji Daihi," great compassion and hospitality.
Thank you for visiting the "Inn Dangoya" homepage.
